If a polite audience of 80 is enough to stir the stomach of a high school marching band student, try a roaring stadium of nearly 80,000.

That's the estimated head count for the Orange Bowl in Miami, whose halftime show next year will include a performance by the San Marcos High School marching band. It's quite an accomplishment:
Only about a dozen high schools across the United States are invited.
San Marcos High band instructor Dan Garske made the announcement Monday during a lunchtime gathering in the band room.
