Organize dinner (BBQ) for last day of Band Camp, collect payment & coordinate volunteer helpers.

Chaperones Coordinator

Coordinate sign-ups for adult chaperones on band trips.  Chaperone—Attend band trips to chaperone students.

Parent and Community Appreciation Night Coordinator and Assistant

Organize with band director community night at last practice in December. Duties include reserving cafeteria & refreshments.

Assist coordinator - Buy flowers & coordinate with band director & booster president distribution to seniors on the field before the performance. This is a 12th grade parent role.

Awards Banquet Coordinator and Helpers

Organizes food, set up, servers, registration, clean up, for year-end banquet. Work with band director & band managers on slide presentation & gift for band director.

Helpers—Assist organizer with banquet.

Food for Away Competitions Coordinator and Helper

Prepare or purchase food for band members to take to or eat at away competitions.

Helper—Assist coordinator.

Football Game Sheets Coordinator and Helper

Spread sheets on stadium seats where band sits to keep uniforms clean at all home football games.  You are given free admission to the game you assist at!  9th Grade parents needed.

Helper—Assist coordinator.

Christmas Parade Coordinator

Work with band director to organize band activities, transportation of students, instruments for the parade. 9th grade parent role

Work with band staff to purchase, make, alter costumes for the various events.  Includes booster t-shirts, band student jackets, clothing.

PSAT Test & National Honor Society Coordinator

Coordinate make-up PSAT test for interested band members if date of test is in conflict with a band competition; resolve any meeting conflicts between band practices and honor society meetings.

Volunteer Coordinator

Collect volunteer sign-up sheets, give information to chairpersons or appropriate persons. Organize, make & distribute email list.   Update band student contact information list.  Coordinate reminder calls as needed to parents and band. 

Volunteer Callers—Make reminder calls when necessary.  Need 9th grade parents.

Work with band staff to create props from design.  Coordinate construction, purchase or sewing of field show props. Coordinate equipment from shed for car wash fundraising events. 

Construction Team—assist with building, designing various props and staging required for productions

Uniform Room Coordinator and Helpers

Fit all marching band members for uniforms, alter or make arrangements for alterations of uniforms, supervise uniform room, supervise uniforms at away competitions. 

Helpers—Work in the uniform room helping get students ready

Assist band director and boosters with communication with La Colina and La Cumbre Junior High Schools.  Assist with 8th grader night at a home football game.

Winter Guard Rep—Bring winter guard information to booster meetings;

Percussive Theater Chairman—Assist band director with percussive theater. Includes running parent meetings in the winter & spring;

Orchestra Rep—Bring orchestra information to booster meetings;

Jazz Band Rep—Bring jazz band information to booster meetings;

Concert Band Rep—Bring concert band information to booster meetings.

Serves as the liaison to the field renovation committee to represent band concerns and issues; and to bring information to booster meetings.  This project is slated to continue through 2007.
